Over 30 Years of Hands-On Homebuilding Experience
For more than 30 years, I've worked in residential construction and held a Class A Contractor's License. Throughout my career, I've built numerous homes and drawn my own house plans, giving me firsthand experience in both the design and construction sides of homebuilding.
Over the years, I've developed an extensive understanding of what goes into building a home, from the foundation and framing to the roof, structural details, and finished product. I've spent decades working in the field, solving problems, and learning what works best when it comes to residential construction.
One thing that has always been important to me is having a good set of house plans. When I was building homes, I drew my own plans because I understood exactly what information was needed to get the job done. That experience gave me a practical understanding of residential design that goes beyond simply knowing how to use drafting software.
That hands-on building experience is the foundation of Brock Designs.
Today, Brock Designs focuses on residential drafting and creating permit-ready house plans for custom homes, additions, garages, and remodeling projects.
We work closely with homeowners, builders, and contractors to develop floor plans that fit their needs. Whether someone has an existing layout, a rough sketch, or an idea of what they're looking for, we work with them to get the design right before completing the drawings.
Having years of construction experience behind our work allows us to approach every project with a builder's perspective. We understand how the different parts of a home come together and what contractors need to see in a set of plans.
